Art and Nature are merged into a single concept, in the same way that the human being does in its essence with the world around him. Art must be understood in this way, as an exaltation of the emotional, of that which often does not have a physical form but is therefore not less certain than the material.
This sculpture, “Espejo-Raíz”, responds to this abstract reflection, becoming a framework that welcomes the invisible dialogue between man, time and his thoughts. Its forms, its studied imbalances, the relationship between its volumes and the silences generated by the silhouetted hollows of the sculpture are meant to represent the subtle emotion generated by contemplating the starry sky, the Tam Dao Mountain or looking at ourselves reflected in the suggestive waters of Dai Lai Lake.
“The sculpture” in itself for me is a reflection of myself, my experiences, my memories and thoughts; it is my intimate and poetic expression of the feelings that external factors and real life wake on me.
