STAINLESS STEEL | 2017 | 5 blocks. H100 x L630 x W240 cm. 6.4 tons
“Empted mind, waving grass, and blowing wind” is a site-specific sculptural installation, which is conceived in an attempt to create a sensation of what ‘the moment’ is and the state of mind in-situ, presenting to the viewer layer by layer between the basic elements of Nature and the Man-made creation.
A set of five mirror-finished stainless-steel “Wave-like” sculptures will be displayed on the well-grown long grass square on a well-trimmed/maintained grassland. When the Wind Blows, the long grass will move dynamically, while the stainless-steel “waves” remain still and calm. It will create a distinctive contrast of the upper layer of the stainless-steel sculptures that reflect the cast images of the blue sky, and the lower layer, which will be filled by the green images of grass in motion.
